Bridget (Babs) Doody

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bridget (Babs) Doody (née Keegan) Main Street, Newcastle, County Dublin, formerly Bayside Sutton, & Baldonnell.

 

Surrounded by her family, in her 86th year passed peacefully after a short illness under the compassionate care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital on the 27th September 2025

 

Most dearly loved and treasured by her children Eric, David and Heather, daughter- in law Clare, Susanne (Eric's partner) , her adored grandchildren Derinn, Joseph, Paddy, Katie,James, Ella, William. Derinn's husband Luke, Joseph's partner Catherine and great grandchildren Lily, Charlie, Cian, Nancy and Edana. Predeceased by her parents Larry and Maisie Keegan and her brother Micheal. Sadly missed by close friends.

 

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff of Talbot Lodge Nursing Home, Malahide.

 

Forever cherished greatly missed.

Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Monastery Road, Clondalkin Village on Thursday (2nd October) from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass at 10 am on Friday morning 3rd October at St. Finian's Catholic Church Newcastle, followed by cremation at The Temple, Newlands Cross Crematorium at 12noon.

 

Donations if desired to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland (Donation box in the Church).
