BRIDGET (Bea) DAVERN

Banshane, Midleton, Cork

BRIDGET (BEA) DAVERN (nee McEgan) of Baneshane, Midleton. Peacefully at home on the 28th of May, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Tom, loving mother of Paul, Michael, Shane, Máire, Ronan and Thomas and cherished grandmother of Sarah, Matthew, Abigail and Mícheál. Very sadly missed by her loving family, her sisters Cathleen Coyle (Canada), Mary Dineen (Ballyheigue) and Sr. Esther McEgan RSM (San Francisco), daughters-in-law: Véronique, Marzena and Alice, sisters-in-law: Eleanor and her husband John, Mary, Breda and her husband Paty, Bridie, nieces, nephews, relatives and her many dear friends. Predeceased by her beloved husband Tom, sister Anna, brothers Fr. Michael and Patrick.

 

The family would like to express their gratitude to Bea’s wonderful team of carers for their kindness, professionalism and support. Our special thanks to Phyllis Cotter, Liz Murphy, the cancer care team in the Bon Secours Hospital Cork, the staff at Midleton Medi Centre, the community health care team. Brendan and the team in Sam McCauley’s Midleton.

 

We would also like to thank the Community Palliative Care team at Marymount University Hospital, who attended Bea with such tremendous care; and our neighbours and extended family for their kindness.

 

Bea will be reposing at home on Sunday. Bea’s home will be private to family and close friends. Removal to the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Midleton on Monday at 1.30pm for her Requiem Mass at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Mass will be available to view live on the Parish TV Saorview Channel and on www.midletonparish.ie
