We are deeply saddened by the death of our beautiful mam Bridget (Betty) Downey (née Fields) (Sandymount, Dublin and formerly of Lower Erne Street, Dublin) – Mam passed away peacefully in our loving arms on April 15th 2026 at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Eamonn and cherished daughter Anita.

 

Mam will be deeply missed by her heartbroken children Alan, Brenda, Eamonn and Ena, brother Danny, sons-in-law Paul, Pearse and Anthony, daughters-in-law Julie and Helen, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her large circle of friends and neighbours.

Her removal and remembrance of her life will take place on Monday morning (April 20th) at St. Patrick’s Church, Ringsend arriving for 10am Mass, followed thereafter to The Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross.
