Bridget (Bridie) Googan
(née Carroll)
Googan (Skehard Road and formerly North Mall, Cork), on May 6th 2025, peacefully at Cork University Hospital; Bridget (Bridie) (née Carroll, from Ballyheigue, Co. Kerry), beloved wife of the late Christy, much loved mother of John and Chris and dearest sister of the late Mary-Ann. Sadly missed by her heartbroken sons, sisters Noreen, Peg and Joan, brother John-Joe, grandchildren Rory, Emma, Laura and Grace, daughters-in-law Jackie and Helen, nephews, nieces, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Visitation at O’ Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Wednesday May 7th from 6.00pm to 7.00pm, with prayers at 6.45pm. Requiem Mass in The North Cathedral on Thursday May 8th at 10.00am, which will be live-streamed on https://www.churchservices.tv/corkcathedral Funeral afterwards to St. Mary's Cemetery, Curraghkippane.
No flowers please. Donations in lieu to St. Luke’s Home.
