Bridget (Bridie) Sunderland (nee Purcell)

and formerly of Ballyfrunk, Kilmanagh.

Bridie passed away on 21st November 2023, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home. Predeceased by her loving husband Paddy, son-in-law Will and other members of the Purcell and Sunderland families. Beloved mother of Mary and Anne. Bridie will be sadly missed by her daughters, brothers Fr. Dennis, Eddie and Tommy, grandchildren Tom and Emma, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Bridie's family would like to thank in a special way the management and staff of Gowran Abbey for the kindness and care shown to Bridie throughout her stay there.

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home on Thursday (23rd Nov) from 5pm to 8pm pausing for Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Friday afternoon at 12.30pm in St. Mary's Cathedral. Funeral afterwards to Ballykeefe Cemetery. House private please.
