Bridget (Breda) Byrne (née Dermody) of Killabban, Ballylinan, Co Laois, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on September 28th, 2025 at her loving daughter Claire’s home, Tullow, Co Carlow.

Beloved wife of the late Liam, much loved mother of Willie, Bridget, Seamus, Claire and the late Pauline, Peggy and Ollie, adored grandmother of Óran, Síofra, Éirinn, Niamh, Fiona, David, Amy, Brendan, Brian, Melissa, Mark, Martin and Stephen and cherished sister of Peggy and the late Kathy, Maisey, Jim, Joe, Tom and Sheila.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, sons-in-law Anthony, Paul, Mick and John,daughters-in-law Rosemary and Mandy, sister, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May Breda’s Gentle Soul Rest in Peace

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., (Eircode R93 C863) on Tuesday, September 30th, from 3pm concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am in St. Abban’s Church, Killeen, Co. Laois (Eircode R93 HK58), followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
