The death has occurred of Bridget McGrath (nee Murphy) of Park, Tinryland, Co Carlow and formerly of Crann, Kildavin, Co Wexford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 27th, 2026 at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.

Beloved wife of Christy, cherished mother of Gillian, Keith and Aoife, beloved nanny to Darragh, Sara, Eoghan, Jack, Andrew and CJ, treasured mother-in-law to PJ, Caroline & James and much loved sister to Patty, Mary ,Charles, Sadie, Jimmy & Josephine.

Predeceased by her Parents Sarah & James Murphy & Sisters Margaret & Elizabeth.

Bridget will be sadly missed by her husband, daughters, grandchildren, son, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, friends and extended family.

May Bridget’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Bridget will repose at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq (R93 C863) on Sunday March 1st from 4pm concluding with Prayers at 7.30pm that evening. Removal from there on Monday morning at 10.30am to St Joseph’s Church, Tinryland (via her residence) arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
