Bridget Scanlon
(née Byrne)
Bridget Scanlon (née Byrne), Knocknagoshel, Co. Kerry and formerly of Gorey, Co. Wexford. Bridget passed away peacefully on 14th March 2026 surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the doctors, nurses, and staff of University Hospital Kerry. Beloved wife of the late James, loving mother to her heartbroken daughter Aisling, Bridget will be sadly missing by her son-in-law Diarmuid O'Donoghue, grandchildren Shauna, Jack and Billy, sisters Elizabeth, Mary, Nuala, Jennifer and Gertrude, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at her residence tomorrow evening, March 15th from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass for Bridget will take place in St Mary's Church Knocknagoshel on Monday at 11am followed by burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery Knocknagoshel.
