Bridget SHANNON
(née Thompson)

Bridget Shannon (née Thompson) of 2 Rathduff, Hollymount, Carlow and formerly of 38 O’Hanrahan’s Avenue, Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on October 2nd, 2024, at her home.

Beloved wife of Michael, much loved mother of Michael, Thomas, Caroline, William, Kathleen, Richard, Teresa, Eileen, Joseph, Gerald and Martin, cherished sister of Kitty, Richard, William, Pat and the late Neddy, Mick, Mary and Ann and treasured daughter of the late Billy and Kathleen.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, her 48 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May Bridget’s Gentle Soul Rest in Peace

Reposing at her home, 2 Rathduff, Hollymount, Carlow (Eircode R93 R5Y8) from 4pm on Thursday and all day on Friday, concluding with Prayers at 7pm both evening. Reposing from 10am on Saturday with removal from there on Saturday at 1pm to St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1.30pm. Burial will take place afterwards in Sleaty New Cemetery.
