Bridie Foley

Bridie Foley, (née Egan) Derrinlough, Fivealley, Birr, formerly Endrim Ferbane & Clonfanlough, Co. Offaly.
Bridie passed peacefully on March 8th, 2026, in the exceptional care of The Laurel Suite, Birr Community Nursing Unit, in her 95th year.
Predeceased by her husband Johnny and her brothers Peter and Tommy. Bridie will be sadly missed by her sons & daughter; John, (Castledaly), Seamus (Derry), Regina (Horan, Fivealley), Des (Derrinlough) and Aidan (Derrinlough), her daughters in law; Veronica, Helen, Marie and Teresa and her son in law Padraig. Cherished grandmother to Conor, Oisin, Mairead, Deaglan, Ciara, Ronan, Aoife, Órlaith, Gráinne, Katie, Hannah, Aishling, John and Laura and her three great granddaughters; Fódla, Bláithín and new born baby Banbha, nieces & nephew, relatives, neighbours and wide circle of friends, especially her “Laurel suite“ family in Birr Community Nursing Unit where she resided for the past six years.
May she Rest In Peace.
Bridie will repose in Boyd’s Funeral Home, Birr (R42YF75) on Monday March 9th, from 5 to 7 pm, and arriving to St. James Church, Eglish at 7.30pm.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
