The death has occurred of Brigid Howard (née Fahey),

New Quay, Burren, Co. Clare.

Formerly of Caherlenny, Kilchreest, Co. Galway.

On the 9th of February 2026, Bridie passed away peacefully at St. Brendan’s Nursing Home, Loughrea, Co. Galway, surrounded by her loving family.

Bridie will be sadly missed by her sons Michael, Tomás, Aidan & Damian, daughters Alberta & Mirette, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her wider family, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Michael (Mick), parents Thomas & Bridie, sisters Kitty & Christina and brothers Michéal, Sean, Pete & Tom.

Bridie is warmly remembered by her brothers Matt (Australia), Bernard & Paddy, and her sister Carmel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at St. Patrick’s Church, New Quay, Burren, Co. Clare (H91 RP74) on Thursday the 12th of February 2026 from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral Mass on the following day at 12 noon, followed by burial in Killeen Cemetery.
