Bridie completed her life’s journey peacefully surrounded by her dearly loved family at the Bon Secours Hospital, Galway on Wednesday afternoon April 2, 2025. Reunited with her beloved husband Jim, predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mai and her siblings Hetty and J.J.

Bridie will be forever loved and remembered by her son and daughters, Colin, Mary and Helen. Deeply mourned also by daughter-in-law Mary, son-in-law Colm (Rogan), grandchildren Emma, Fiona, Carla, Sarah, Greg, Stephen, James and Laura, great grandchildren James, Timmy, Isabelle, Kate, Bobby, Anna, Jack and Layla, sister and brother-in-law Mary-Annette’s and Gerry (Mallow), brother Celi, nieces and nephews, the extended Roddy and Shiel family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements

Friday, April 4, 2025 - Reposing at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Saturday, April 5, 2025 - Removal from her home at 11.30 a.m. to Galway Cathedral of our Lady Assumed into Heaven and St. Nicholas'. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on arrival at 12 noon. Following Mass, Bridie will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery. Live streaming link for Mass: Here
