Feenone, Louisburgh, Mayo / Kilconly, Galway

Bridie Scanlon (née Keville) (Feenone, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo native of Ratesh, Kilconly, Tuam, Co. Galway.) October 16th 2025: Peacefully in the tender presence of her loving family and the kind care of the Doctors, Nurses, and staff of G ward Mayo University Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Mike and son Anthony. Lovingly remembered by Mary (Eddie, Westport), Eileen (Alex, Essex), Geraldine (Feenone), Deirdre (Kieran, Cork) & Rita (Michael, Cross), her eleven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours, and lifelong friends.

 

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

 

Bridie will rest in repose at Sweeney's Funeral Home, Louisburgh on Sunday (Oct. 19th) from 4:00pm, concluding with Vigil Prayers at 6:00pm. Removal from her late son Anthony's home (Furmoyle) on Monday at 11:00am to the Church of the Holy Family, Killeen via Cregganbawn and Feenone arriving for 12 noon Mass of Christian Burial, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Bridie's family would like to say a special thank you to the Ambulance crews, Dr. Khan, Mr. Tigue, Dr. Hartnett, staff of A&E, G ward, Dr. Staunton,Dr. O'Connor, staff of Louisburgh Medical Practice, John Staunton Pharmacy, home helps & carers, public health nurse,for their kindness and great care shown to Bridie.
