The death has occurred of Brigid Kellegher, (nee Burns) (Mullingar, formerly of Rooskynamona, Bornacoola Co Leitrim and Cavan Town) - January 5, 2025 - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and under the exceptional care of the staff of Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar.
Brigid was the beloved wife of the late John (Jack) (Cloonart, Longford) and predeceased by her sister Sr. Eileen and brothers Loughlin and Terry.
Deeply missed by her children Marie (Walsh, Killarney), Eithne, John, Tina, Colum, and Dominick, sons-in-law Dermott and Gordon, daughters-in-law Marian, Oonagh, and Aoife. Brigid was a cherished grandmother to Elena, Jake, Anna, Lily, Michael, Irene, Isobel and Brian, and a great-grandmother to Braxton. She also leaves behind her sister Annette, sisters-in-law Geraldine and Stella, brother-in-law John as well as a large circle of extended family, neighbours, and friends who will mourn her loss.

Reposing at her home (College Hill, Mullingar) Tuesday Jan 7th from 3pm until 8pm. Brigid’s Funeral Cortège will leave her home on Wednesday morning to the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar for Requiem Mass at 1pm. (Funeral Mass can be viewed on https://www.mullingarparish.ie/livestream) followed by burial in Cloonmorris Cemetery , Bornacoola, Co Leitrim. (Bornacoola Parish Cemetery).
