Brigid Murphy, (née Shiels), Lower Rossmore, Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on February 4th , 2021, at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.

Beloved wife of the late Mick Murphy, much loved mother of Roy, Michael, Jackie and Nicola, adored grandmother of Paris, James, Savannagh, James, Jayden, Alex, Keeva, Kaci and Croí and cherished sister of Eamonn and Kathleen (Murphy).

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law Ken, daughter-in-law Jenny, brother, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunt, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and her many good neighbours.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings a private funeral will take place for family in St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, on Sunday at 11.30am and will be followed by burial in Killeshin Cemetery.

If neighbours wish to show their support to the family, they could stand outside their houses as the funeral cortége leaves her residence in Lower Rossmore on the way to the Church at 11am approx.
