The death has occurred of
Canon John K. O'Mahony
On 16th of November 2023 peacefully and in the tender care of the Bons Secours Care Village, St Joseph’s Mount Desert, Canon John K, son of the late Florence and Margaret, beloved brother of Florrie, Dympna (Crowley), James, Timmy, Jerry, and Michael, and the late Sr Raphael and Freddie, brother-in-law of Eily, Mary, Jeanie and Johnny, and the late Phil and Nellie. Deeply regretted by his sister, brothers, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, dear friends, Bishop Fintan Gavin, Bishop Emeritus John Buckley and his fellow clergy.
May Canon John K. Rest in Peace.
Canon John K will lie at rest in St John The Baptist Church, Kinsale from 2.30 pm on Friday 17th of November 2023 with the Celebration of Vespers at 4.00 pm, and will lie at rest in the Star of The Sea Church, Kilcrohane from 11.00 am on Saturday 18th of November 2023 with concelebrated Requiem Mass at 12 noon (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the local cemetery.
