The death has occurred of
Canon John Piert
Piert, Father John (Dalkey, County Dublin) 26th January 2026 died peacefully in the care of all the staff at Our Lady’s Manor Nursing Home, Dalkey.
Pre-deceased by his parents Annie and Thomas, his brother Michael and his sisters Cathleen, Maureen and Elizabeth.
He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and also his great grand nieces and nephews, fellow clergy, friends and former parishioners from Johnstown, County Wicklow.
May he rest in peace.
Reposing Tuesday 27th January in Quinn's of Glasthule from 4pm-6pm. Funeral mass will take place in the Church of the Assumption, in Dalkey at 11:30 on Wednesday 28th January which can be viewed online at http://www.churchservices.tv/dalkey followed by burial in Gowran Graveyard in County Kilkenny.
