On Friday, August 1, 2025, Carmel died peacefully in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Peter and siblings Paddy, Leo, Mark and Nuala. Carmel is leaving behind her heartbroken children; Emer, Conor, Aidan, Bróna and Ciara, sons-in-law Jim and Darren, daughters-in-law Catherine and Antoinette and her adored grandchildren Darragh, Ronan, Stephen, Ross, Robert, Sophie, Jake, Lara, Aislinn, Rían and Jenni. Deeply missed by her sisters Rosemary and Olive and her extended family, neighbours and friends.

 

May her beautiful soul rest in peace

 

 

Funeral arrangements

Tuesday, August 5, 2025 - Reposing at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91 K8) from 5.00 p.m. with Removal at 6.30 p.m. to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill.

 

Wednesday, August 6, 2025 - Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Carmel at 11 a.m. Link below. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest with Peter in Rahoon cemetery.

 

Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations if desired to the Galway Hospice.
