CARMEL HARRINGTON, (née Comerford), Knockwilliam, Ballyhale, Co. Kilkenny

 

Monday, 15th July 2024, peacefully, in the presence of her loving family, after a long illness bravely borne, in the care of the wonderful staff at Oak Ward, South East Palliative Care Unit, Waterford Regional Hospital, for whose kindness the family will be forever grateful.

 

Beloved wife of Ollie and much-loved mother of Anne (Harrington Rees), Mary, Conor and David, and sister of the late William (Bill).

 

Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, grandchildren Katie, Anna, Amy, Nathan and Liam, daughters-in-law Maura and Jenny, son-in-law Dave, Mary’s partner, Eugene, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, partners, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her son, David’s home, ‘Garraí Gabha’, Ballytarsna, Mullinavat, Co Kilkenny (Eircode X91 F3A2) from 3 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, 17th July 2024, pausing for vigil prayers at 7 pm.

 

House Private please at all other times.

 

Removal to St Martin of Tours Parish Church, Ballyhale, Co. Kilkenny on Thursday, 18th July 2024, via her residence, arriving at 11.45 am, for Requiem Mass at 12 pm.

 

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to The Carlow/Kilkenny Home Care Team and The Oak Ward. Donation boxes will be situated at David’s House and in The Church.

The family would also like to acknowledge the care that Mam received from Dr. Brian O’Dea, Kilmoganny and the medical care teams at the Beacon Hospital, Dublin, Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny, CIT Airfield, Kilkenny and The Oak Ward, South East Palliative Care Unit, Waterford Regional Hospital.
