LUCEY Carmel (née McCarthy) (Castleknock, Dublin and formerly Watergrasshill, Cork) passed away peacefully on 30 March 2026, surrounded by her loving family, in the kind and wonderful care of the staff of St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown.

Beloved wife of Eugene, much loved mother of Clara, Aoife, Jean and Aidan and adored grandmother of William, Paddy, Daniel, Seán, Emma, Kate, Jack and Anna.

Carmel was predeceased by her parents Abina and John. She will be sadly missed and forever loved by her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers Martin, Seán and Derry, daughter-in-law Antoinette, sons-in-law Fran and Liam, sisters-in-law Liz and Patricia, brother-in-law Fr. Finbar Lucey, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Cunningham's Funeral Home, Church Avenue, Blanchardstown on Monday afternoon (6 April) from 4pm to 6pm. Removal to Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock on Tuesday morning (7 April) arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium.
