Carmel McCullagh (née O'Connor) of Oranmore, Co. Galway, formerly Cregmore, Co. Galway and Birrinfadda, Cranny, Co. Clare.

Passed away peacefully in University Hospital Galway, on 10th January 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her father Liam, her brother Michael, and her nephew Liam O'Connor.

Carmel will be sadly missed and dearly loved by her daughter Niamh and son Michael, her mother Ita, sisters Mary (McGrath), Geraldine (Griffin), Patsy (Grogan) and Connie (McGuire), her brothers Gerard and John O' Connor.

She will be held in the hearts of her aunts, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

May Carmel Rest in Peace.

Reposing on Tuesday 13th January in Tearmann Mhuire, within the grounds of the Church of the Immaculate Conception Church, Oranmore, Galway (H91 XC61) from 5.30 to 7.30 o'clock.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday 14th January in St. Mary's Church, Cranny, Co.Clare, (V15 N156) at 11.30 o'clock. The Mass can be viewed on https://www.ipcamlive.com/crannychurch followed by Private Cremation in Shannon Crematorium.
