Carmel Scannell (nee Dunne). Newpark, Portlaoise. Died Nov 18th, 2024, in the excellent care of Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Molly and Martin Dunne. Beloved wife of the late Sean. Dearly loved mother to Donal and John. Cherished grandmother to Sean. Deeply regretted by her loving daughters in law, Joanne and Ursula. Her very close friend Ettie Fitzpatrick and former colleagues in St. Fintan’s Hospital Portlaoise. Sisters Teasie Thompson, Lily Irvine (Gloucester) and Mary Nolan (Portlaoise). Brothers in law Andy and Michael and sister-in-law Bernadette, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6.30 pm until rosary at 8 pm. Funeral arriving at SS Peter and Paul's Church on Wednesday for 2 pm requiem mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul's Cemetery, Portlaoise.
