In Loving Memory of Caroline De Sousa (née Byrne) of Armação de Pêra, Portugal, formerly Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved earth angel who left us on May 25th 2025 at the age of 56. Pre-deceased by her parents May (née Murphy) and Peter Byrne, nephew Eric.

Caroline was a warm, kind, compassionate, free loving spirit, who touched the lives of many with her kindness, strength, and devotion.

She was many things, a wife, a sister, an auntie, a friend but most of all she was a mother, being a mother was the identity that she held dearest. She will be missed more than words can ever express by her 3 adoring children Sam, Jordan, Casey and her loving husband Jorge, sisters Karina and Josephine, brother Peter, daughter-in-law Sara, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

A memorial service will be held on the 30th of May 2025, at 1pm in Crematório de Albufeira, Caminho dos Brejos, 8200-316 Albufeira, Portugal. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in celebrating her life, sharing memories, and honouring the legacy she leaves behind.

The ceremony at the crematorium will be followed by a small ceremony at the beach in her home town of Armacao De Pera and then to Pera Bistro for refreshments.

We encourage guests to wear Bright, beachy colours to signify her love for the beach and her joyful spirit. Please do not wear dark colours.

She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
