The death has occurred of
Caroline Ward
(née Corcoran)
WARD, Caroline (Anne) (née Corcoran), Birr, Co. Offaly, and formerly of San Francisco and Philadelphia, USA, passed on March 6th, 2022, (peacefully) in the tender care of staff at Birr Community Nursing Unit. Much loved wife and best friend of Matt and devoted mother and best friend of Eva Deanna and Clareen Rose. She will be deeply missed and remembered with love and affection by her brother Des and her sisters Raymond and Mary, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends around the world. Preceded in death by her parents Claude and Eva Corcoran, her brother Valentine and her sister Deirdre. Former pupil at Birr National School, a 1975 graduate of Convent of the Sacred Heart Roscrea, and a 2007 graduate of San Francisco State University with a BA in English Literature.
Celebrating her life at Boyd’s Funeral Home in Birr on Monday (March 7th) from 5.00pm to 6.30pm and at her Funeral Mass on Tuesday (March 8th) at 11.00am St. Brendan’s Church, Birr. She will be cremated, with some of her ashes to be buried in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr and the rest spread joyfully in San Francisco, Philadelphia and elsewhere, as she wished.
