Cathal Gaffney of "Canora" Rathdown Road, Greystones, Co. Wicklow, formerly Coola, Boyle, Co. Sligo. December 5th 2023, peacefully, at St. Vincent's University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Mary & Felix, siblings Mairéad & Felix. Remembered with love by his family devoted wife Noreen (née McMahon), children Annamarie, Daniel & Cathal Jnr, sisters Mary & Denise, brother John, grandchildren Dylan, Lena, Emma Rose, Seán, Holly & Chloe, son-in-law Alex Gleeson, daughter-in-law Ciara, Daniel's partner Ashling, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours & large circle of friends.
Reposing at Mark Kinsella Funeral Home, Main Street, Newtownmountkennedy A63 X456 (opposite St. Joseph’s Church) on Friday evening, December 8th from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass Saturday, December 9th, at 10am in The Holy Rosary Church, Greystones, (which can be viewed on the following link: https://gkpastoralarea.ie/online/) after which Cathal will be laid to rest in Redford Cemetery, Greystones.
