Cathal Markey

Cathal Markey, Mount Merrion, Co. Dublin, formerly Farnanes, Co. Cork, 5th April 2026, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Claire, daughters Louise and Deborah and his adored grandchildren Charlie, Corey, Demi and J.J., brother Fr. Gerard SSC, Hugo and sister Margaret, extended family, neighbours and friends, especially those in Arklow Golf Club.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Massey Bros Funeral Home, Unit 1, The Goat, Lower Kilmacud Road, D14 X348 from 5 pm to 7pm on Wednesday, 8th April. Cathal’s Funeral Mass will take place at the Church of St. Laurence O’Toole, Kilmacud on Thursday morning, 9th April at 10am followed by burial at Redford Cemetery, Greystones, Co. Wicklow.
