Cathal Sweeney, The Moorings Mullingar Co. Westmeath and formerly Omeath ,Co. Louth, October 8th 2025 peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of the nurses and staff in St. Camillus Nursing Centre Killucan.

Predeceased by his father Shay and his brother Dara.

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken mother Ann (nee Fagan Collinstown), his sister Áine, brother in law Matthew, nephews Daniel and Cíarán, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Cathal Rest in Peace

Reposing in St Camillus Nursing Centre Chapel Killucan (Eircode N91 VF51) on Friday October 10th from 4pm concluding with prayers at 6pm. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church Collinstown, Co. Westmeath on Saturday October 11th at 10am. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
