Cathal TIERNEY (Ó TIGHEARNAIGH)

TIERNEY (Ó TIGHEARNAIGH) Cathal, Dún Laoghaire and late of Barrington, Illinois, passed away suddenly at home, 16 September, 2021. Much loved husband of Bríd (née Conneely), and wonderful father to Áine, Seán, Mary, Kate and Liam. Predeceased by his beloved parents Fergus and Bríd (née Glynn). Will be very sadly missed by his wife, children, sisters Dearbhail and Ríonach, brothers Fionán and Cormac, mother-in-law Annie, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, adoring nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and his close lifelong friends.

There will be a visitation before the mass from 9:30am to 11:00am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anne’s Church, Barrington, Illinois, on Friday next, 24 September ,at 11.00am US Central time (5pm Irish time). The service will be livestreamed, you may join us virtually by clicking here:

A cremation and celebration of life ceremony will follow Mass at 12:30pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Lake Zurich, 941 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
