Catherine Anne (Kitty) Kearney

The death has occurred of Catherine Anne (Kitty) Kearney (née McMahon), Mountainstown, Dunleer and late of Killanny, Co. Monaghan, peacefully, after a short illness at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Kitty, beloved wife of the late Tommy and loving mother of Mary (Reid), Thomas, Ann (Nulty), Peter, Elizabeth, Rita, Paul and Edel (Bartley). Predeceased by her father Peter, mother Mary, brothers Bernard Laurance, Peter, Paddy and Michael and sister Mary (McGuinness). Sadly missed by her sons, daughters, grandchildren Carol, Alan, Serena, Naomi, Ryan, Miles and Campbell T, brothers Tom, Eddie and Hugh, sisters Lily (Gaul) and Connie (Gallagher), sons-in-law Michael, Joe and Tommy, daughters-in-law Geraldine and Melissa (Mollie), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

A private family funeral for Kitty will take place due to Government advice on public gatherings, with numbers limited to 50. Removal from Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer on Saturday morning to Saint Brigid’s Church, Dunleer, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, which can be viewed live at https://www.dunleerparish.ie. Burial afterwards in Killanny Cemetery, Co. Monaghan, arriving at 1.15pm approx.

There will be an opportunity for the community to support the family and remember Kitty by being present, socially distanced, on the route to the cemetery, via her home. Those who would like to attend but cannot, may leave a personal message in the Condolence section below.
