Catherine (Betty) Gildea (née Mooney), 5th October 2023 (Late of Springfield and formerly of Marian Park, Blackrock); passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Loving wife of Seán and devoted mother to Niamh, Fiona, Sinead, Aidan and Catherine and adored nanny to Chantelle, Craig, Katie, Kiera, Aaron, Kaiah, Jake, Holly, Jade and Noah. Predeceased by her sisters May and Tina and brothers John, Dermot and Denis

 

Betty will be forever loved and very sadly missed by her heartbroken family, daughters-in-law Jenny and Danielle, sons-in-law Christian and James, sisters Nancy, Irene, Doreen and Joy, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

May she rest in peace.

 

Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, The Square, Tallaght (opp Tallaght Stadium) on Monday from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday at 10am in St Mark’s Church, Springfield and afterwards for Cremation in The Temple at Newlands Cross Crematorium at approx 12 noon.
