CATHERINE CAMPBELL (née Forde) ‘Westway’, Galway Road, Roscommon Town. December 27th, 2025, peacefully, in the exceptional and compassionate care of the staff of the Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Roscommon, surrounded by her family and following a long illness borne with grace and dignity.

Beloved wife of Brian (Bernard), cherished mother of Catríona and mother-in-law of Shane (Keating), adored nana of Kate and Jamie. Pre-deceased by her infant sons Joseph and Gerard, parents Barney and Kay Forde and sisters Beatrice, Marcena and Bernadette. Catherine will be greatly missed by her friends, relatives and all who loved her.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Monday evening (Dec. 29th) from 6.30 o’c until 8 o’c. Removal from her home on Tuesday morning, arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery.
