Catherine (Ciss) O'Brien

O'Brien (Castletownshend, Enniscorthy & London): On February 1st, 2025 peacefully in the tender care of the Doctor's, nurses and staff of Bantry General Hospital, and in the presence of her loving family Catherine (Ciss) née Hawkins, cherished wife of Timothy (Ted) and devoted mother of June (O'Regan), Joe and Terry, Slaney Heights, Castletownshend, formally of Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford and London.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband, daughter, sons, son-in-law Timjoe, daughters-in-law Anne & Bernie, amazing nanny and great nanny to Patricia & Ger (Carey), Dean, Ciarán, Orlagh, Aoife, Katie, Ciara, Niamh, Shane, Leah, Saorla, Evan, Faólan & Thyra, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and her many close and dear friends.

Reposing in Shanahans Funeral Home, Leap on Sunday 2nd February from 4pm to 6pm followed by prayers. Catherine's funeral cortége will arrive at St. Barrahane's Church, Castlehaven at 1.45pm on Monday, 3rd February followed by Requiem Mass at 2.30pm which will be live-streamed on funeral service link below. Funeral immediately afterwards to Castlehaven New Cemetery.
