Catherine Hynes (née Flanagan), late of The Burnaby, Greystones, Co. Wicklow, and formerly of Crossgar, Co. Down, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, in the compassionate care of the doctors and nurses at St. Vincent’s University Hospital.
Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Mary Flanagan, her brother Sean and sister Teresa.
Catherine will be deeply and lovingly missed by her heartbroken family. Beloved wife of John and devoted mother to Emma, Sarah, James and Caroline. She will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters Anne, Gerard, Marie, Kevin, Donal, Dermot and Paul, her sons-in-law Ronan, Frank and Peter, James’ partner Jennifer, her cherished grandchildren Senan, Ruadhan, Tiarnan, Fionn and baby Maeve, nieces and nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of friends who knew and loved her.
Family flowers only, donations if desired to St. Anthony.
