Catherine (in her 102nd year) passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family in Mallow General Hospital on Sunday, September 28th, 2025.

 

Beloved wife of the late Patrick (Patsy), much loved mother of Mary (O’Mara – Towbridge – U.K.), Noreen (Johnstone – Newport, Wales), Kathleen (Kathy) (Miller – Chingford – U.K.), Margaret (Kiely), adored grandmother of Aidan, Joss, Jason, Andrea, Lee, Ben, Anthony, Trevor, Karen and Aidan, great-grandmother of Liam, Maisie, Frank, Paige, Ellie, George, Grace, Chloe, Darryl, Orrin and great-great grandmother of Delilah.

 

Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons-in-law John, Graham, Mick and Ollie, predeceased by her sons-in-law Tony and Charlie, sisters-in-law, a large circle of nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in O'Keeffe's Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Mallow (P51 XE2T) on Wednesday evening from 6:00pm to 7:30pm followed by Prayers.

 

Reception into St. John the Baptist Church, Kilbrin on Thursday morning for Requiem Mass at 12noon, after which Catherine will be laid to rest in the local cemetery.

 

 

The family would like to thank Bridget, Avril, Hannah, Ruth and all from HSE HomeHelp, BlueBird Care, Meals on Wheels, doctors, nurses and staff of Mallow General, Dr. Molony and staff of the Red House Practice, a special thanks to her great neighbours Sam, Charlotte and Rebecca, all of whom helped Catherine to reside at home.
