Catherine (Kay) Whelan (nee Hennessy)
Riverview, Gallowshill, Kilkenny
and late of Wallstown, Tullaroan.
Kay passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on 9th November 2025 at University Hospital, Waterford after a long illness borne with dignity and courage. Kay will be dearly missed by her loving husband Noel, daughter Yvonne, sons Fran, Billy, Darren, Gary, Conor, Shane and James, brother Eddie, sisters Mary, Nora, Sheila and Helen, daughters-in-law Gráinne and Ann, son-in-law Mairtín, her 15 adored grandchildren, extended family, kind neighbours and her many friends.
Kay is predeceased by her parents Billy and Julia Hennessy, infant children Thomas and Mary and infant granddaughter Rinoa.

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Wednesday (12th Nov) from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm.
Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, Kilkenny.
Funeral afterwards to Ballykeeffe Cemetery, Co. Kilkenny.
House strictly private at all times please.
