Catherine (Kitty) Carr (née Mooney), Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Castleknock, Dublin, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, 3rd February 2026 in the loving care of the staff of St. Columba’s Hospital, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. Predeceased by her husband Frank. Catherine will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Marie, son Tim, daughter-in-law Sarah, her sister Annette, granddaughters Emma-Jane, Maureen and Isabel and their husbands & partners Walther, Joey and Balazs, great-grandchildren Phillipa, Ben, Charlie and Hunter, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, many friends and especially Peter, Liz and Alice who Catherine has been friends with for the past 50 years.

May Catherine rest in peace.

Reposing at her son Tim’s residence at Grange Lodge, Graiguenamanagh (R95 WP27) on Wednesday, 4th February from 4pm to 7pm. Removal on Thursday morning, 5th Febraury, to arrive at Duiske Abbey, Graiguenamanagh for 10am Requiem Mass, followed by burial in Mulhuddart Cemetery, Dublin at 1pm.
