The death has occurred of
Catherine (Kitty) Rooney
Catherine (Kitty) Rooney, Baile na gCrann, Rahard, Athenry, Co.Galway. Catherine (Kitty) passed away peacefully on Sunday 13th of April 2025 in the loving care of the staff at Maryfield Nursing Home.
Predeceased by her brothers Michael, Paddy, Fonsey and Sean and her sister Maureen (Healy).
Kitty will be sadly missed by Sean, Patrick and Michael John (nephews), Martina (niece), sisters Zita and Ann, brothers Joe and Gerard, nieces in-law Bernie, Breda and Mary, nephew in-law Peter, sisters in-law Kitty, Carmel, Patricia and Terry, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Quinn’s Funeral Home, Athenry on Tuesday 15th April from 6.30pm. Removal at 8pm to the Church of The Assumption, Athenry. Funeral Mass Wednesday 16th at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Athenry. Mass will be live streamed on https://www.churchmedia.tv/st-marys-parish-1 and can be listened to Parish radio 106.5fm.
