Catherine (Maeve ) O'Callaghan

The death has taken place of Catherine Maeve O'Callaghan,(nee Gormley) better known as Maeve of 24 McHale Road, Castlebar and formerly of Churchtown Avenue, Dublin 14 peacefully at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons Vincent and John daughters, Audrey, Edel and Ciarra, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Michael John and her sons Joseph and Ian.

Maeve was a talented seamstress and she worked for many years in the local Hat Factory. She was a founder member of the Mayo Branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Kilcoynes Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Friday from 5.30pm with removal at 7.30pm (via McHale Rd) to the Church of the Holy Rosary Castlebar arriving at 8.15 pm. Mass at 11am on Saturday with the funeral proceeding to the New Cemetery.  Family flowers only. Donations to the Friends of the Sacred Heart Hospital,c/o Kilcoyne Funeral Directors.
