Catherine Scannell
(née Flynn)

Parklands, Commons Road and formerly of Boyce's Street, Cork City, Cork

Scannell (Parklands, Commons Road and formerly of Boyce’s Street); on March 4th 2026, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the exceptional care of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Intensive Care Unit at the Mercy University Hospital; Catherine (née Flynn); loving and devoted mother of Stephen and Mark and loving sister of Miriam. Predeceased by her parents Tom and Margaret.

 

Sadly missed by her sons, sister, grandchildren Axel and Kyle, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

Visitation at O’Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Friday 6th March from 6.00pm to 7.00pm with prayers at 6.45pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday March 7th at 10.00am in the North Cathedral. Funeral afterwards to St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully. Catherine’s Requiem Mass can be viewed on the North Cathedral Live-Stream.
