On Saturday, 7th February 2026 in her 95th year, Celine died peacefully surrounded by her family, following the great care she received in her short stay at the Galway Hospice by the wonderful Hospice staff.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Michael (originally of Ayle, Oola, Co.Tipperary) and by her parents Patrick and Ann Hanberry and her brothers Brendan, Albert and Gerard.
Deeply mourned by her heartbroken daughters and son, Orla, Celine and Gerard, son-in-law Ray, daughter-in-law Sheila, grandchildren Aoife, Eoin, Ross, Siobhán, Conor and Ben, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May she be reunited with her loved ones

Funeral Arrangements
Wednesday 11 February 2026
Celine will lie in Repose at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 3.30 p.m. Removal to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill at 5 p.m.
Thursday, 12 February 2026
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Celine at 11.00 a.m. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest with Michael in Rahoon cemetery. Mass will be livestreamed. Link: https://mcn.live/Camera/christ-the-king-church-salthill
