The death has occurred of
Charles "Cha" McCarthy
On July 2nd, 2025, peacefully in his 85th year, in the presence of his family and in the loving care of staff at Bantry General Hospital. CHA, beloved husband of the late Agnes, stepfather of Kathleen (Harrington), Niall, Timmy, Diarmuid, the late Mary and Dan Holland, brother of the late Jim, Michael and Mary, uncle of Robert, Charles, Julie, Mary, Eymard, Susie and the late Jim Jnr.
Sadly missed by his loving family, son-in-law Michael, daughter-in-law Mary, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, kind neighbours and a large circle of friends.
May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel Street, Bantry on Friday July 4th from 7pm to 8.30pm with vigil prayers at 8.30pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday July 5th at 2pm at St. Finbarr’s Church, Bantry (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery.
