Charles passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family in the Mercy University Hospital, Cork on Thursday, November 13th, 2025.

 

Predeceased by his dear wife Myrla (Myla) (Bruñidor) of the Philippines, his parents Denis and Mary Frances, brother Fr. James and sister Marian.

 

Fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters, Cormac, Vincent, Margaret, Rory, Juliet, Catherine, Angela and John, sisters-in-law Carmel and Orla, brothers-in-law Joe, Angus and Eamonn, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends, as well as Myla's extended family in the Philippines to whom he was so close over the years, especially Myla's niece Cynthia and her family who looked after him so well during his recent illness.

Reposing in Hawe - O'Keeffe's Funeral Home (P56 YY15), Bakers Road, Charleville, on Tuesday evening from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, (Prayers at 5:30pm).

 

Reception into St. Joseph's Church, Newtownshandrum on Wednesday morning for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, after which Charles will be laid to rest in Newtownshandrum 'new' Cemetery.
