The death has occurred of
Charles Mortell
The death has taken place of Charles Mortell, Ballyellis, Mallow who passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on March 18th 2025 at Cork University Hospital. Beloved husband of Margaret (née O'Mahony), son of the late Jim and Mamie and brother of the late John, Ned, Fr. Tony and Joan (Murphy).
Sadly missed by his loving wife, sisters Sr. Mary, Dympna (Aherne) and Patricia, brothers James and Michael, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May He Rest in Peace.
Lying in repose at O'Connell's Funeral Home, St. James' Avenue, Mallow (P51 HH61) on Friday (March 21st) from 5.30pm with Prayers at 7pm followed by Removal to St. Mary's Church, Mallow.
Requiem Mass on Saturday (March 22nd) at 11.30am which may be viewed on
Funeral afterwards to St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mallow.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff of The Medical Centre at MPHC and all the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of both the Bon Secours Hospital and Cork University Hospital for the exceptional care Charles received.
