Charlie Grimes

Charlie Grimes , Ballyduffy, Moyne, Co.Longford. Peacefully on 23rd January 2026, at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by the love of his life Helen and his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his mother Lena, father James , brothers John , Bill and sister Maria.

Charlie will be greatly missed by his wife Helen, his loving family Teresa (London), Mark (Aughnacliffe), Ann-Marie (Turloughmore), Cathal (Coronea), Paul (Maynooth), Helena (Limerick), brother Joe (Brighton), sons-in-law Derren, Ciaran, and Shane, daughters-in-law Una, Dolores and Sinead, his adored grandchildren George, Charlie, Oliver, Cody, Zoe, Ella, Leah, Abby, Ava, Conor, Emma, Grace and Sophia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, great neighbours and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford (N39 EC81) on Wednesday 28th January from 6.00pm concluding with prayers at 8.30pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday 29th January in St. Francis Xavier Church, Moyne at 12.00 noon , interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Charlie had a joy for life, mischievous and a great story teller.
