Charlie O'Brien

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Charlie O’Brien, Ballinvoher, Turloughmore, Co Galway, following an illness borne with dignity and courage. Charlie passed away peacefully at his home, on November 17th surrounded by his loving family.

 

Sadly missed by his loving wife Karen, sisters Angela (Ballinrobe), Joan (Tuam), brother John (Kilbeggan), sisters - in-law, brothers - in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

 

Charlie is predeceased by his parents Michael and Nora, brothers Desmond, Brendan and Michael, sisters Teresa and Irene,

 

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

 

Funeral Arrangements

 

Wednesday, 19th November 2025

 

Reposing at Our Lady’s Chapel, Lackagh (H65N129) on Wednesday evening, from 5-30 pm until 7-30 pm.

 

Thursday, 20th November 2025

 

Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon on Thursday at the Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh (H65N129) with burial afterwards in Lackagh Old Cemetery.

 

Mass will be live-streamed on Lackagh Church Live YouTube Channel and also broadcast on parish radio, 106.9 FM.
