CHRIS AHERNE

AHERNE (Blackrock): On June 27, 2024, peacefully, in the presence of his loving family, at Maryborough Nursing Home, CHRIS (member of Ringmahon Rangers, Blackrock Hurling Club and Sacred Heart Bowls Club). Beloved husband of Peg (née McSweeney), loving father of Stephen, Eleanor (Bergin) and Kevin and dear brother of Michael (Blondie) and the late Paddy. Sadly missed by his loving family, son-in-law Shane, daughters-in-law Christine and Chezlynn, grandchildren Christopher and Nicole, Elisha and Alison, Kevin and Katherine, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

 

May he rest in peace.

 

Reposing at Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Turners Cross, on Saturday (June 29) from 3pm to 4pm.

 

Requiem Mass on Monday (July 1) at 11.30am in St Michael’s Church, Blackrock, which will be streamed HERE.

 

Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery, Blackrock.

 

Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
