Christa Falkenstein

Christa, of Castlequin, Cahersiveen and formerly of Carlow and Solingen, Germany, passed away peacefully, in her 83rd year, on the 19 th August 2025 in the gentle care of the staff of Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, Dublin.

Forever in our hearts, she will be sadly missed by her dearest daughter Natalie, son-in-law Martin, loving granddaughters Kirsten and Claudia, relatives and many friends in Germany and Ireland. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Dieter.

Christa’s family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to both the teams of the Ballyboden Primary Care Centre and Cahersiveen Community Health Centre, the nurses and doctors of St. James’s Hospital and the wonderful Palliative Care team of Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross.

Ruhe in Frieden. May she rest in peace.

Christa will be reposing at Daly’s Funeral Home, East End, Cahersiveen (V23 NN59) on Friday, August 22nd from 5pm-7pm. Removal on Saturday morning to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Foilmore, Cahersiveen, arriving for 1pm funeral service, followed by burial in Relig Chill Fhaoláin Cemetery in Castlequin, Cahersiveen.
