Christina (Chrissie) (née Barrett), 8 Convent road, Doneraile, Co. Cork and formerly of Ballydoyle, Castletownroche, Co. Cork, who passed away peacefully in the loving care of her devoted family on Tuesday January 13th 2026. Adoring wife of the late Jim and loving mother of Thomas, Seamus, Annette (Pitman), John, Gerald, Patricia (O’Rourke) and Oliver. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary (Barrett) her brother Johnny and brother-in-law John and best friend Mary O’ Keeffe.

Sadly missed by her heartbroken family brothers Jimmy and Tom, sisters Peggy (Mannix) and Breeda (Dennigan), sons-in-law Mick and Danny, daughters-in-law Noelle and Eileen, grand children Marie, Thomas, Fiona, Stephen, Jennifer, Catheriona, James, Shane, Keevan and Jamie, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Lying in repose at Stack’s Funeral Home (P51 Y821) Doneraile, on Wednesday (January 14th) from 6:30pm to 8pm followed by removal to the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Doneraile. Requiem Mass on Thursday (January 15th) at 2pm and will be live streamed on www.doneraileparish.ie. Funeral afterwards to Oldcourt Cemetery, Doneraile.

The family would like to thank Dr Kelleher (Hazlewood Medical Center) the nurses and team of carers, Maureen and staff at Doneraile Pharmacy, Marymount palliative care team and a special thank you to her daughter-in-law Eileen and neighbour Ciara for the excellent care they gave mam during her illness.
