Christine Byrne
(née Gormalley)
Christine Byrne (née Gormalley) (formerly of Kilcreene Lodge, Co. Kilkenny and Achonry, Co. Sligo) – February 3rd, 2026. Passed peacefully while surrounded by her loving family at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin. Beloved wife of Gerry Byrne, cherished mother of Jessica, Gillian and Stephanie, and much-loved sister of Annette, Frank, Stephen, David and Denis.
Sadly missed and remembered by all her loving family, sons-in-law Herman and Sean, her adored grandson Luca, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Removal on Friday morning (Feb 6th) to the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Merrion Road, Dublin (D04NX33) arriving for 10am Mass, followed thereafter to Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin (D6WHY98). Click here at 10am on Friday morning to view live streaming of Funeral Mass.
