Christopher (Chris) Culkeen

The death has occurred, following a road traffic accident, of Christopher Culkeen, better known as Chris, 32 McHale Road, Castlebar and formerly of Greenwood, Ballyhaunis at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar. Only son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Rita) nee Finn. Dearly loved husband of Kathleen nee Flynn and loving father of Alan and Chrystal. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, son, daughter, Alan's partner Sharon Walsh; his sisters Mary (Manchester), Flavia (Wales), Helen (Banbridge), Rita (Cork); brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Chris was well known in the community.  He was very involved in football and in the Mayo and District Motor Sports Club. He worked for many years as a long distance truck driver.

May he rest in peace.

Removal from his home in McHale Road on Wednesday morning to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, for Funeral Mass at 11am.  Funeral afterwards to Shannon Crematorium, via McHale Road, arriving for private committal service at 2.30pm.
